#AndNEW: Titles Change Hands at OZ Academy Silver Bullet

OZ Academy Silver Bullet

OZ Academy ran Korakuen Hall on March 4th with a show headlined by Sonoko Kato challenging Mayumi Ozaki for the OZ Academy Openweight Championship.  Also on the card, the returning Yuu teamed with Kaori Yoneyama to challenge Kaho Kobayashi and Kakeru Sekiguchi for the tag team championships.  Both titles changed hands at the show named Silver Bullet as Ozaki’s long reign atop the company came to an end.

Sonoko Kato Wins OZ Academy Openweight Championship

After 721 days Mayumi Ozaki’s reign atop OZ Academy as champion has come to an end.  By leading the promotions super-heel main unit she has had a dominant stranglehold atop the company ever since taking the title from Hikaru Shida.  25-year veteran Sonoko Kato of MISSION K4 was the one to ultimately dethrone Ozaki as the company continues to be a place that offers a nod to Joshi’s heyday as Kato was trained by GAEA Japan.  Ozaki’s reign isn’t the only long title reign in Joshi that ended on April 4th as Miyuki Takase also lost her AWG Championship after over 500 days as champion.

Beast Friend (Yuu & Kaori Yoneyama) Win OZ Academy Tag Team Championships

Yuu made her return to wrestling at OZ Academy and didn’t take long to gain some gold as she and Kaori Yoneyama, representing Beast Friend, won the titles from MISSION K4.  Yoneyama is now a double champion as she recently won the PURE-J Openweight Championship and had a crazy day that culminated in her being forced to join Oedo Tai in Stardom. Yuu is also a double champion as she and Chihiro Hashimoto hold the Sendai Girls tag team titles.
