#AndNEW: SAKI Wins AWG Championship

SAKI

Actwres girl’Z had a shock today as SAKI defeated Miyuki Takase to win the AWG Championship.  Takase has held the title for 515 days and it seemed like she would have an unstoppable reign atop Actwres, but SAKI shockingly dethroned her at Korakuen Hall.  This marks SAKI’s first singles title victory after a number of tag title reigns in Gatoh Move.

As mentioned previously SAKI is used to winning tag team gold as she has won the Asia Dream tag titles three times.  Twice with Yuna Mizumori as Topikawild and once with Mizuki.  SAKI becomes just the fourth person to hold the AWG Championship since the title became active in late 2018.

Miyuki Takase is a very popular name in the Joshi fanbase and her in-ring skills made her an excellent choice to hold the title for such a long time.  SAKI taking it from her is a similarly solid option as the Gatoh Move exposure makes her a recognizable name to many Joshi fans and her talent is sure to help deliver good matches against AWG’s blossoming roster of talented performers.  It remains to be seen if SAKI can continue the trend of long reigns with the title.
