Gatoh Move ChocoPro #91 Card – Season Six Premiere (2/27/21)

ChocoPro 91

Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling is set for season six of ChocoPro. To say that this season will start with a bang would be an understatement. In the show’s main event, the reigning Asia Dream Tag Team Champions will put their titles on the line against a team that can best be described as unorthodox. What can viewers expect as ChocoPro heads into its sixth season? Take a look at the action to come.

Tropikawild (Yuna Mizumori and SAKI) vs. Pencil Army (Emi Sakura and Lulu Penicl)

On the season six premiere episode of ChocoPro, former tag team champions will reunite. Yuna Mizumori and SAKI, collectively known as Tropikawild, is the one team to have held the Asia Dream Tag Team Championship on multiple occasions. In early 2020, they lost the titles to RESET, the duo of Emi Sakura and Kaori Yoneyama. From there, SAKI made sporadic appearances on ChocoPro. Surprisingly, the last time that Mizumori and SAKI teamed up was back on episode forty-eight this past September, when they fell to the team of Sakura and Mei Suruga. Now, over five months later, Tropikawild is back and ready to take on their most unique challenge yet.

Pencil Army has been on and off as of late. Most recently, Emi Sakura was part of the AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament. Though Sakura bested VENY in their first-round match, the founder of Gatoh Move ultimately fell to Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling star Yuka Sakazaki in a semifinal bout. Not one to let a loss keep her down for long, Sakura will reunite with her protege in Lulu Pencil, reforming their Pencil Army tag team. It’s important to note that, as a tandem, Pencil Army have yet to pick up a victory. Can they steer the proverbial ship in the right direction with a victory over their tropical opponents?

Asia Dream Tag Team Championship: Best Bros (Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki) (c) vs. Chie Koishikawa and Hagane Shinnou

This past December, on episode seventy-six of ChocoPro, history was made for a team on the rise. On this episode, Best Bros defeated RESET to win their first Asia Dream Tag Team Championship. While this was Baliyan Akki’s first tag team title win of his career, it was the first title, in general, that Mei Suruga captured. Best Bros had been on a roll leading up to this match. Now, they are the champions to beat on ChocoPro and in Gatoh Move as a whole.

Since then, Best Bros have conquered a litany of opponents. From Lulu Pencil to Chie Koishikawa to Minoru Fujita and beyond, it’s apparent that Suruga and Akki aren’t looking to end their reign anytime soon. However, Best Bros’ reign as Asia Dream Tag Team Champions hasn’t been without its bumps in the road. One such example has been the team of Chie Koishikawa and Hagane Shinnou. They started teaming this past January, and despite their contrasting styles, they’ve been successful. Most recently, Koishikawa and Shinnou episode eighty-six, they bested Akki and Antonio Honda in a spirited effort.

On the season five finale of ChocoPro, Emi Sakura made this upcoming Asia Dream Tag Team Championship match official. Between the never-ending energy of Koishikawa and the ice-cold demeanor of Shinnou, Best Bros haven’t faced challengers quite as unorthodox as these. This will mark Best Bros’ second title defense, too, meaning that the stakes are that much higher. Can Best Bros start season six with a win? Will their reign come to an end at the hands of Koishikawa and Shinnou? Tune into the ChocoPro season premiere to find out.
