Report: WWE NXT To Have Second Show Under Name EVOLVE

WWE NXT EVOLVE

Fightful Select is reporting that the WWE NXT brand is going to have a second show, exclusive to the WWE Network, soon to be under NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service. The show will be called NXT EVOLVE, the same independent wrestling company that had worked with WWE in the past and was eventually purchased in July of last year. It will be run by former EVOLVE showrunner Gabe Sapolsky and former IMPACT Wrestling commentator Jeremy Borash. It was only two days ago that Twitter user @BeltFanDan, someone who has been right on more than one occasion when it comes to championship belt reports, where he said that WWE was working on a new EVOLVE Championship for a WWE Network show.

WWE’s recent signing spree that was reported by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer only makes this show have more depth to it. Those reported recent signings include the longest IMPACT Knockouts Champion in history Taya Valkyrie, AQA, Eli Drake, and Blake Chrisitan among others. While there is no official word on who will be a part of this brand and the WWE NXT brand that is on television, WWE certainly has the talent signed to keep them exclusive if needed.

It has been a long time since NXT has felt like a developmental brand like it was created to be. One would have to assume that this show will be used to give the talents not involved on the USA Network time to get adjusted to being on the screen while showing WWE fans what they have in their arsenals.
