Mike Sydal Making AEW Debut

Mike Sydal AEW Debut

On the upcoming episode of Dynamite FTR take on the team of Matt and Mike Sydal.  Mike is the real-life younger brother of Matt Sydal and has been wrestling for thirteen years on the independent scene.  While he never reached the heights his brother did he is no stranger to a wrestling ring.

Mike Sydal debuted in 2008 and immediately became a regular for 3XWrestling and performer for a number of National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) affiliates.  It didn’t take long for him to find success as he won the 3XW Tag Team Championships in 2009 with Zach Thompson.  In 2009 he made his debut for Ring Of Honor in a dark match, he competed for the company for the next couple of years although it was mostly in dark matches with a rare proper appearance.  After competing for Dragon Gate USA in 2011 he would go to Japan to compete for Dragon Gate in 2013, while there he got to compete in matches with names like Akira Tozawa and Shingo Takagi.

He made his last ROH appearance in 2015 and last wrestled for Dragon Gate in 2016.  Since then he has mostly competed for Lucha Libre And Laughs (LLL) where he was heavyweight champion.  During this time he has made an appearance in IMPACT Wrestling, in which he teamed with Chris Bey.  He has also competed in three matches for the WWE, two of which were losing efforts on 205 Live as Mike Karma, with the last being as Rizzo as he was demolished by the Viking Raiders (Ivar & Erik) on RAW.

The journeyman Mike Sydal now makes his way to AEW to hold the distinction of competing for every major promotion in the United States.
