Tuesday’s AEW Dark will be highlighted by main roster stars and stories as Britt Baker will host a waiting room segment featuring Ricky Starks, who will no doubt talk about his huge match at AEW Revolution as he teams with Brian Cage in a street fight against Darby Allin and “the Icon” Sting. SCU Looking To Continue Winning Streak
SCU have been on a winning streak as of late and it is important that they keep winning if they want to stay together. During their AEW New Year’s Smash eight man tag team match Daniels and Kazarian announced if they lose again, they will split up as a tag team.
SCU have previously discussed the trajectory of their careers on a previous episode of AEW Dark, in which they discussed their career as a tag team so far, noting they have lost more matches than they have won. Kazarian said despite everything 2020 put them through, he could always count on Christopher Daniels. While Daniels apologised for losing his passion leading to their downfall in 2020. The veteran almost walked away but was convinced by his partner to give them one more chance.
Ever since then, the team have been on form, winning every match in front of them. This week on Dark they face Chaos Project. If this winning streak continues, an AEW Tag Team Title match must be close on the horizon for the veteran tag team.
Legacy Tag Team in action again on AEW Dark
This week’s AEW Dark also features another tag team that will one day hope to face the AEW World Tag Team Champions as we see another appearance from Terrence and Terrell Hughes, the twin sons of WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley. The team debuted as a tag team back in 2015, however many fans will know them from their earlier appearance in IMPACT Wrestling, where they took part in a long term storyline between D-Von Dudley and The Pope D’Angelo Dinero. Ever since then they have gain experience in many promotions and have won a plethora of tag team titles around the world, including the United States Wrestling Alliance Tag Titles, Atomic Revolutionary Wrestling Tag Titles, and the Conquer Pro Wrestling Tag Titles. The team has also been used as extras in WWE, when they escorted Sami Zayn out of the arena during a match between AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy.
Their father D-Von still works backstage in WWE to this day so their appearances on AEW Dark have been notable. With a tag team legend such as D-Von as their father, they will have a lot to live up to if they want to be a success in AEW. This week the team with M’Badu to face Dustin Rhodes, QT Marshall, and Nick Comoroto. Sharing the ring with veterans like Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall will no doubt help to give them the experience they need to live up to their father legacy.
Nick Comoroto First Win?
Speaking of the team of Dustin Rhodes, QT Marshall, and Nick Comoroto it would appear that the man who looked strong against Jon Moxley in his Dynamite debut will get his first win in AEW. This is always seen as a turning point for talent in the company and could kick off a big run for Comoroto.
