Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #75 – Emi Sakura vs. Rin Rin (12/30/20)

ChocoPro 75

The second to final episode of ChocoPro for 2020 is fast approaching. Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling has a few more surprises planned for the year, which should come as no surprise. Since introducing ChocoPro earlier this year, the Gatoh Move crew has put on excellent shows featuring regular talent and guest stars alike. On this episode of ChocoPro, we will see the return of Gatoh Move’s “Master of Ceremonies” and more. Here’s what viewers should expect.

Emi Sakura vs. Rin Rin (ChocoPro Return)

On the previous episode of ChocoPro, viewers were given an unexpected gift in the form of the returning Rin Rin. The last time “MC” Rin Rin was on ChocoPro was back on the very first episode this past March. Ironically enough, this was in a match against Emi Sakura in the first ChocoPro match ever. Despite a spirited effort from the young rookie, it was Sakura that emerged victorious. Now, after over nine months, Rin Rin will be looking to make her return at the expense of her mentor.

Rin Rin is a young star at the age of sixteen, but don’t let this fool any opponent. Despite her relative inexperience, Rin Rin is immensely capable, using her agility to keep her opponents on their toes. While she has picked up a few wins in tag team competition, the “MC” of Gatoh Move has yet to have her arm raised following a singles match. This may be easier said than done for her, though, especially as Sakura preps for her upcoming Asia Dream Tag Team Championship match against challengers Best Bros. Can Sakura keep her focus on Rin Rin or will it be the “MC” that takes it home?

Lulu Pencil and Antonio Honda vs. Best Bros (Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki)

The ChocoPro holiday special saw Lulu Pencil challenge Antonio Honda in a Christmas Death Match. This encounter featured everything from stuffed animals fighting one another to banana peel shenanigans to even a Nintendo Switch. Though Honda won, the Pencil Army commanding officer thrived in this environment. Five days removed from this holiday showdown, Lulu Pencil and Honda will join forces, utilizing their unique tandem offense to take on one of the top teams in Gatoh Move.

Best Bros are slowly but surely approaching their Asia Dream Tag Team Championship match with Reset, the team of Emi Sakura and Kaori Yoneyama. Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki have had their issues with Sakura, in particular, over the past several episodes. However, much like Sakura’s match with Rin Rin on their show, Best Bros will have to keep their eyes on the present. Lulu Pencil and Honda will prove to be no small feat to overcome, especially as they combine forces. Expect this to be an interesting match with contrasting styles.

Yuna Mizumori vs. Cherry vs. Chie Koishikawa and Sayaka Obihiro

The last time Cherry was on ChocoPro was back on episode fifty-seven. On this show, she battled Yuna Mizumori in a spirited main event. Despite the best efforts of Gatoh Move’s “Pineapple Girl,” it was the “Dramatic Pink Warrior” that emerged victorious. Post-match, the competitors showed mutual respect toward one another. Since then, Cherry has remained active across Japan, even making a few appearances for Ice Ribbon. Cherry will soon make her return to ChocoPro, teaming with Mizumori to battle a team consisting of energy and experience.

Last time, Chie Koishikara and Sayaka Obihiro were opponents. Koishikawa teamed with Chris Brookes in a formidable, albeit losing, effort against Obihiro and Emi Sakura. Much like Cherry and Mizumori, Koishikawa and Obihiro will be on the same side in Ichigaya Chocolate Square. This combination of energy and experience will be nothing short of explosive. However, will it be enough to overcome the combined forces of the Pineapple and the Cherry?
