KiLynn King Tests Herself Against the Champion

To say that KiLynn King has been making her mark on AEW DARK would be an understatement. Since securing a victory over Lei’D Tapa last month, she has become one of the most formidable women’s wrestlers on the program. Recent wins over Rache Chanel and Katalina Perez are evidence of this. “The Queen of Crazy” isn’t one to back down from a challenge. On this episode of AEW DARK, however, she may have more in store than what she bargained for.

Hikaru Shida, the current reigning AEW Women’s World Champion, has had her hands full as of late. Most recently, she has become the target of Abandon, the “Living Dead Girl” of AEW almost like an omnipotent force in the company. Though Shida showed bravery in the face of Abadon, it’s apparent that the champion hasn’t faced anything quite like the zombified AEW star. On tonight’s episode of AEW DARK, Shida will have to realign her focus as she battles King. Whether Shida is at the top of her game, it’s difficult to bet against the champion.

New Faces on AEW DARK

Two weeks ago, AEW DARK saw a new face in the form of Freya States, the Alaskan-born powerhouse grappler. All Elite Wrestling’s YouTube show isn’t shy about showcasing some of the lesser-known stars on the independent scene. This week’s episode will be no exception. Two of the matches on this stacked AEW DARK card will see individual debuts.

One of the debuts in question will take place in tag team action. In their first AEW match, Bear Country will take on the team of Stu Grayson and Evil Uno of The Dark Order. Comprised of Bear Boulder and Bear Bronson, this team has been working across the independent scene since 2017. In 2018, they won the Chaotic Wrestling Tag Team Championship, holding the gold for 224 days. Bear Country is one of the big men teams on the rise, but they will have a tall challenge ahead in the form of The Dark Order.

The other new face on AEW DARK is Kaci Lennox, who will go one-on-one with AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup winner Ivelisse. Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, Lennox began her professional wrestling career in late 2016. Since then, she has seen success across multiple independent organizations. These include Platinum Pro Wrestling, where she is currently the longest-reigning PPW Diamonds Division Champion at over six-hundred days. Can Lennox make a good first impression on AEW DARK against Ivelisse?
