Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #69 (11/28/20)

ChocoPro 69

With only four episodes left in ChocoPro season four, Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling is looking to pull out all the stops. From the rise of Gatoh Move faithfuls to outside stars making appearances, there’s no telling what the future holds for this YouTube wrestling show. Episode sixty-nine should prove no different if the following card is any indication. Here is a full rundown of what to expect this weekend.

Warm Caterpillars (Chie Koishikawa and Mei Suruga) vs. Sayaka Obihiro and Emi Sakura

Following episode fifty-seven of ChocoPro, Mei Suruga’s luck has seemingly soured. Not only did Warm Caterpillars lose to Reset, the team of Emi Sakura and Kaori Yoneyama, on said episode, but Gatoh Move’s “Apple Girl” suffered a loss to Chon Shiryu the episode after. Meanwhile, on the previous episode of ChocoPro, Chie Koishikawa teamed with Baliyan Akki in a losing effort against Sakura and Yuna Mizumori. Episode sixty-nine marks the return of Warm Caterpillars, and needless to say, they are looking to pick up a major victory.

This may be easier said than done, though, as they take on two of the essential pillars of Gatoh Move in Sakura and Sayaka Obihiro. The talents and capabilities of Sakura are second to none; she has come out victorious in the lion’s share of her matches when at full capacity. This episode will also mark Obihiro’s first ChocoPro appearance since late October; on episode fifty-nine, she battled Antonio Honda and Jaki Numazawa in a Monoboke Death Match. Can “Sprint” return to Ichigaya Chocolate Square to secure a victory alongside her long-time friend in Sakura?

Yuna Mizumori vs. Hagane Shinnou

This episode marks the final season four appearance of Yuna Mizumori. Last time on ChocoPro, Emi Sakura revealed that Gatoh Move’s “Pineapple Girl” will be taking a two-week break in order to focus on driving lessons. While Mizumori will undoubtedly be part of the upcoming fifth season of ChocoPro, her presence will be missed in the meantime. However, she plans to go out this season with a bang, taking on a returning star to Ichigaya Chocolate Square.

The last time Hagane Shinnou was on ChocoPro was episode sixty-two, when he teamed with Sakura in a losing effort against the unlikely duo of Lulu Pencil and Chris Brookes. Since then, Shinnou has been largely absent from the wrestling scene. However, this shouldn’t take away from the fact that he is as formidable as anyone else. His combination of hard-hitting offense and high-flying maneuvers brought him to success across Japan, including two reigns as the Independent Junior Heavyweight Champion.

This will also be the first time that Mizumori and Shinnou have wrestled one another since September. Their last singles encounter took place on episode forty-four, when ChocoPro made its Shin-Kiba 1st Ring debut in Tokyo, Japan. For avid ChocoPro fans, this will be an intriguing rematch with varying styles. Will Shinnou’s finesse and experience bring him a much desired ChocoPro victory or will the powerful “Pineapple Girl” end her season four run with her arm raised? Tune into this upcoming episode to find out.
