In an interview with PWInsider Tony Khan revealed two more new signings to the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) roster. The newly christened tag team The Acclaimed which features indie talents Anthony Bowens and Max Caster who recently paired up on AEW Dark and earned rave reviews.
“The 5-Tool Player” Anthony Bowens recently vacated the WrestlePro championship which led to speculation that the former NXT enhancement talent had signed with AEW. Bowens was notable injured during a match against the Authors Of Pain when he served as an enhancement talent on NXT. The openly gay Bowens isn’t just known for this one NXT appearance as he was a successful name on the indies where he was a three time WrestlePro Champion, he also wrestled for Beyond Wrestling as part of their Uncharted territory series, and he has even wrestled under an IMPACT! Wrestling banner.
His new The Acclaimed team mate Max Caster is a graduate of the very successful Create-A-Pro Wrestling Academy who has been noted for his charisma in the past. Caster has also wrestled for Beyond Wrestling, as well as for Combat Zone Wrestling and A Matter Of Pride Wrestling. “Platinum” may not have the buzz that a complete package like Bowens does but you’d be a fool to overlook a charismatic talent like him.
The Acclaimed are another great addition to AEW’s growing roster. Not content to cherry pick the superindies AEW has done their research and unearthed a number of gems like Wardlow, The Acclaimed may be their next big hit
