Preview: UWN Primetime Live – Episode 7 (10/27/20)

Prime Time Live

After the announcement and reveal of the United Wrestling Network World Championship tournament, there is a lot of anticipation surrounding this week’s episode of Primetime Live. The studio style wrestling show has had an impressive run, helped immensely by it’s partnership with big name companies like the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Peter Avalon vs. Chris Dickinson

The first round of the UWN World Championship begins as AEW and UWN collide. Chris Dickinson has been prominent on Primetime Live since it’s inception, defeating Jordan Cruz on the debut episode. Since then, he remains undefeated on Primetime Live, having beaten Anthony Idol and Max Castor in decisive fashion. Peter Avalon‘s story, however, is quite the opposite. He currently holds an impressive (and quite sad) losing streak in AEW, having gone 0-27-1 since signing with the company last year. Can Avalon overcome his streak off AEW soil and move forward for this massive opportunity, or will Chris Dickinson silence the Librarian for good?

The Bodega vs. Real Money Bros

Danny Limelight is back for Primetime Live and this time, he’s not alone. On episode 5, he took a loss to Clark Connors. Papo Esco will be there to help The Bodega open for business against the Real Money Bros. Clutch and Sugar Brown won big over the weekend and look to raise the stakes even higher. On their last appearance on Episode 3, they took a loss to the UWN Tag Team Champions, SoCal Distancing. These two highly capable tag teams will go to war to see which reign supreme!

Aron Stevens Teases Return to UWN Primetime Live

Former NWA National Champion “Shooter” Aron Stevens took to twitter a couple days ago to respond to the reveal of the UWN World Championship tournament brackets, seemingly very baffled that he was excluded from the lineup. Stevens appeared on Episode 3 of Primetime Live to defend his NWA National Championship, but came up short against Trevor Murdoch. It will be interesting to see how the Mongrovian Karate Specialist tries to talk and weasel his way into this tournament, especially having never won a match on UWN Television.

This match between two SoCal veterans will be for the Championship Wrestling from Hollywood Heritage Championship. Ray Rosas, fresh off a pair of appearances on AEW DARK, will finally make his Primetime Live debut. His opponent, Kevin Martenson is no stranger either. Both have clashed many times over the years in both singles and tag team action. Their last singles encounter for CWFH occurred way back in 2012, with Martenson picking up the win via disqualification. Rosas will be making his third ever defense of the belt, will he be able to hold on or will Martenson mushroom stomp his way to glory? Find out on Primetime Live.

NWA World Women’s Championship Match
Thunder Rosa (c) versus Serena Deeb

The NWA World Women’s Champion has been seeking out competition all over the country since the wrestling shutdown due to COVID-19, and has been very successful in her hunt. She recently successfully defended her title in AEW against their reigning women’s champion Hikaru Shida, as well as against Ivelisse. She already holds a win on Primetime Live having defeated Priscilla Kelly on Episode 2. Rosa has held this title since defeating Allysin Kay at NWA Hard Times on January 24, 2020.

Serena Deeb will be making her debut for the UWN, having also recently debuted for AEW against her opponent tonight in a losing effort back in September. Deeb is known for her work in WWE as a member of the Straight Edge Society with Luke Gallows and CM Punk. She travelled the independent circuit, from Shimmer to Impact, until her semi retirement in 2015. She would return to wrestling in the 2017 Mae Young Classic, losing in the second round to Piper Niven. She was then signed on as a coach until being a part of the pandemic-required mass releases in April.

Will Serena Deeb be able to overcome the odds and win the biggest match of her career, or will she fall yet again to the dominant Rosa?
