Mandy Rose Traded to WWE Monday Night RAW

Mandy Rose WWE RAW

Earlier this morning, on Talking Smack, The Miz announced that Mandy Rose would be switching brands. The Miz crashed the show, making the announcement in question as a way to continue his and John Morrison‘s feud with Tucker and Otis, the latter of whom held the Money in the Bank contract. Having been a regular performer on SmackDown Live, “The Golden Goddess” of WWE will now represent the red brand on Monday Night RAW. WWE later confirmed this move via Twitter.

In 2018, Mandy Rose became a consistent part of SmackDown following the Superstar Shakeup. It was during this period she teamed with Sonya Deville; together, they became known as Fire and Desire. They complemented one another well and even competed for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. However, as Rose became romantically involved with Otis, a rift developed between her and Deville. With the help of Dolph Ziggler, Deville attempted to thwart the romantic endeavors of Rose and Otis, but to no avail.

From there, Rose and Deville became bitter rivals. Deville humiliated Rose, even cutting her trademark blonde hair in a heated backstage attack. This fractured partnership came to a head at SummerSlam this past August, when Rose and Deville squared off in a Loser Leaves WWE Match. After a competitive effort, Rose defeated Deville, sending the latter packing. Since then, Rose has done little of note on WWE programming. Perhaps this move to RAW will reinvigorate the WWE career of “The Golden Goddess.”

Now that Mandy Rose is part of RAW, the question remains: what does this spell for her on-screen relationship with Otis? Will Otis, along with Tucker, continue to pursue success on Friday nights? Will Heavy Machinery make the shift to RAW, thereby continuing to be a thorn in the side of The Miz and Morrison? Expect more news regarding Rose’s new role on RAW in the coming days.
