Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #47 (9/13/20)

ChocoPro 47

Last time on ChocoPro, Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling fans saw a “Pineapple Girl” overcome a two-woman army and a “Super Rookie” take the promotion’s resident mischief maker to the limit. Not one to rest on their laurels for too long, Gatoh Move returns with another episode of this long-running YouTube show. The conclusion to season three is approaching, and with several events to go, this promotion aims to up the ante. Here is what viewers can expect heading into episode forty-seven of ChocoPro!

Chie Koishikawa vs. Mei Suruga

The best way that this match can be described is a concentrated mix of caffeine and sugar. She doesn’t have a win on ChocoPro record, but Chie Koishikawa’s boundless energy can’t be denied. Whether she’s running from one side of Ichigaya Chocolate Square to the other or putting everything she has into her battle cries, the former fencer is far from reserved. This isn’t to say she’s all sizzle, however, as her trademark chops have proven devastating for those that have faced her.

On the other side of the equation is Mei Suruga, who may be able to give Koishikawa a run for her money in terms of energy. Despite her bright smile and disposition, however, Suruga is nothing short of a warrior. The “Apple Girl” of Gatoh Move is not only fast-paced but, as evidenced by her match against Tokiko Kirihara on the previous episode, she’s not against utilizing submission techniques. In this hyperactive showdown, which of these Gatoh Move stars will emerge victorious?

Tokiko Kirihara vs. Hagane Shinnou

As stated earlier, Tokiko Kirihara fell to Gatoh Move’s “Apple Girl” on the previous episode of ChocoPro. Nonetheless, Kirihara will move forward as she heads into her next big challenge in Ichigaya Chocolate Square. She hasn’t been victorious in a match since episode forty-one, where she overcame “The Mightiest” Lulu Pencil in the opening match. To say that “Otoki-san” is hungry for a victory would be an understatement, but on episode forty-seven, she will have to be at her best to achieve this goal.

Hagane Shinnou has appeared for Gatoh Move on and off over the years and, up until now, boasts two ChocoPro appearances. He made the most of these, however, showcasing quickness and hard-hitting offense alike. At 36 years old, Shinnou has been in the game since 2002 and shows no signs of slowing down. Shinnou’s record in Gatoh Move has been quite strong, so needless to say, he will want to maintain it with a victory over Kirihara. Gatoh Move’s “Super Rookie” won’t make this an effortless task, so keep an eye on this bout.

Yuna Mizumori vs. Chris Brookes (ChocoPro Main Event)

When it comes to singles success in Gatoh Move, few can touch Chris Brookes. For those that don’t know, the current DDT Universal Champion is undefeated in the promotion, including ChocoPro appearances. Most recently, he bested Lulu Pencil on episode forty-four, taking her trademark pink baseball cap in the process. Few would fault Brookes for being confident, but given the caliber of opponent he’s up against, this won’t be a victory for him to claim so easily.

Yuna Mizumori will enter this upcoming match with momentum on her side. Last time on ChocoPro, she bested Pencil Army, the team of Emi Sakura and Lulu Pencil, in a handicap match. On the episode before that, she wrestled SAKI, taking her Tropikawild partner to the limit in an emotional encounter. Yunamon’s goal is to become stronger, which is where a victory over Brookes would be most beneficial. Despite Brookes’ championship status, the “Pineapple Girl’s” eyes aren’t set on the DDT Universal Champion. Instead, she is determined to become the strongest she can be.
