WWE Talking Smack to be Hosted by Kayla Braxton and Xavier Woods

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet and other sources, it has been confirmed that WWE Talking Smack will return. Once this news hit, fans wondered who would steer the proverbial ship. Keep in mind that it was only recently reported that Renee Young would be wrapping up her work in WWE, meaning that the show’s revival would be without one of its original hosts. However, it has been announced that the revived Talking Smack will be hosted by none other than Kayla Braxton and eight-time WWE Tag Team Champion Xavier Woods.

Kayla Braxton is among the most prominent on-screen personalities on WWE programming, having debuted for the company in 2016. In addition to her interviewing duties on SmackDown and various pay-per-views, she serves as the host of The Bump. On the latter show, Braxton has interviewed the likes of current SmackDown Tag Team Champions Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura in addition to WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.

Xavier Woods is a professional wrestler with a multitude of outside interests. Among these is his YouTube gaming channel, UpUpDownDown, which has amassed over 2 million subscribers since its launch in 2015. In terms of wrestling, Woods has seen considerable success as one of the members of The New Day. Alongside Big E and Kofi Kingston, Woods won tag team gold on RAW and SmackDown alike. Woods is currently recovering from an achilles injury he suffered this past October.

Talking Smack was originally created following WWE’s brand split in 2016. Essentially, the show served as supplementary content to SmackDown. On Talking Smack, Superstars were interviewed with fewer restrictions compared to TV programming. This lack of restrictions resulted in many entertaining segments. These included The Miz‘s heated promo on Daniel Bryan, Young’s original co-host, and Rhyno playing the role of Santa Claus.

Talking Smack is set to return on the free version of the WWE Network this weekend. It will be taped following tonight’s SmackDown and be available for streaming the morning after. Keep with WWE on its various social media channels for further details.
