4. Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos are winning games with defense and a respectable running game. This could be enough to make the playoffs, but you need a better passing attack to go blow-for-blow with elite offenses like the Buffalo Bills. Denver currently ranks 16th in EPA/pass, which isn’t bad, but an A.J. Brown trade should put them into the top 10.
So far through his young career, first-round pick Bo Nix has played up to his scouting report. The Oregon product can quickly decipher a defense and make the right read, but he lacks the arm strength and downfield accuracy to lead an elite offense without great receivers. Courtland Sutton is a solid starter, but the rest of the depth chart is comprised of depth guys. A.J. Brown would give Nix a legitimate all-around target and should help this team compete in arguably the game’s toughest division.
