Everton Team News

The Toffees will be without eight players. Jack Grealish and Michael Keane are suspended while Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gana Gueye are at AFCON. On the injured list are Jarrad Branthwaite, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Charly Alcaraz, and Seamus Coleman.

Everton boss David Moyes has said that he is “hugely disappointed” in the decision not to overturn the red card given to Michael Keane in the draw with Wolves. He said: “Hugely disappointed. Hugely surprised. Probably more angry with the panel who chose that was they case. I have to question the three of them – and I know who the three of them are on the panel, and I’m absolutely amazed they didn’t overturn it.

“We’ve just seen a game last night where it’s okay to throw a ball at somebody, it’s okay to lift someone up with a bad injury, but a little pull of somebody’s hair – accidentally – means a three-game ban is quite extraordinary for me.”

Sunderland Team News

Wilson Isidor could feature after missing the last two games with a minor injury. Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Regis Le Bris said, “Wilson is getting better. He trained this morning with the squad, and we’ll see if he’s available or not. We’re just on the limit with him, and we don’t want to take unnecessary risks, so that’s it.”

Habib Diarra and Chemsdine Talbi are still at AFCON, but Reinildo, Bertrand Traoré, Noah Sadiki, and Arthur Masuaku are back in contention after their countries were eliminated.
