Everton fans are feeling quite confident going into the new Premier League season, with their form towards the back end of last year very strong. David Moyes’ return has brought a lot more hope than there had been at the end of Sean Dyche’s tenure. After already completing four transfers, Everton are now considering a second bid for Tyler Dibling, amidst other English interest.
Everton Consider Second Bid for ‘Wonderkid’ in Premier League Race for Signature
Initial Bid of £27 Million Rejected
Paul Joyce has revealed that Everton have had an initial £27 million bid rejected by Southampton for Dibling. However, they are now “considering an improved bid”, with a fee of £35 million expected to be enough for the Saints to accept, despite his valuation being set at £100 million not long ago.

The “wonderkid” is “keen” on a move to the Toffees, with the opportunity to play regularly in the Premier League valued. However, Aston Villa, West Ham United, and Fulham all hold interest in the 19-year-old, making this a four-way race in the top flight. The Merseyside outfit will be hoping to get this one across the line after losing “first-choice target” Francisco Conceição to Juventus. Meanwhile, Johan Bakayoko has joined RB Leipzig, and moves for Takefusa Kubo and Malick Fofana both look unlikely for respective reasons.
Tyler Dibling Completes Dream Everton Frontline
Scoring goals was Everton’s problem last campaign: they conceded the fourth fewest in the league. Iliman Ndiaye was the only bright spark for large portions of the season. However, it seems that this summer they are attempting to fix that.
Their biggest issue for some time was the striker position, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin failing to net double digits in all competitions since 2021, whilst Beto has had a mediocre impact since joining. The signing of Thierno Barry for almost £30 million promises to change this.

If Dibling were to join on the right-wing, combining with the incredibly creative Ndiaye on the left, Barry would have the service that previous Everton centre-forwards had been crying out for. This signing would complete the dream frontline, and with the defence intact from last season (thanks to a Jarrad Branthwaite new contract), Moyes is set up for a strong season at the new Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium (officially named the Hill Dickinson Stadium).
