What Went Wrong With Rashford At Old Trafford?

The reason why the Red Devils are open to offloading their youth academy graduate to another English club is because he’s fallen out with head coach Ruben Amorim. They reportedly started experiencing issues in working with each other only days after the Portuguese gaffer arrived at Old Trafford in November (2024).

Rashford last played for his childhood club in the 2-1 win over Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Europa League in December, in which he was substituted after a poor display. Following that, the winger hinted at a desire to move away, claiming: “I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.”
