How Bayern Munich Have Lined Up Recently
Bayern began their weekend Bundesliga matchup as follows: Manuel Neuer was in goal, and the backline consisted of Joshua Kimmich, Eric Dier Kim Min-jae, and Raphael Guerreiro.

Aleksandar Pavlovic played alongside Leon Goretzka in the holding midfield positions, while Leroy Sané, Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry, and Harry Kane made up the front four.
That means that coach Vincent Kompany made several changes to his previous starting 11. Alphonso Davies, Konrad Laimer, and Dayot Upamecano were unavailable for the match due to injury, suspension, and a precaution respectively.
Meanwhile, Kingsley Coman and Michael Olise were benched. To replace them all, Kompany brought in Guerreiro, put Kimmich in as right-back, whilst Dier took the vacant centre-back spot. Pavlovic came in at the midfield position, and ultimately Sané and Gnabry played on the wings.

There is no room for error for the Bavarians if they want to directly qualify for the Round of 16, which is quite unrealistic, as they would have to surpass at least seven teams currently ahead of them. Even so, they must still get the best possible ranking to give themselves the best chance of success in the knockout playoff round and reach the Round of 16 that way.

In either case, this means that Bayern will have to win big and thus play a very attacking version of their 4-2-3-1 formation.
The recent form has been decent if we discount the 3-0 defeat to Feyenoord last time out in the Champions League. Yet, the team have taken their foot off the accelerator in recent matches.

Daniel Peretz, Hiroki Ito as well as Davies are surely out injured. Goretzka and Sven Ulreich are suspended due to cards received in the Feyenoord match. Meanwhile, Upamecano is still in doubt.
