Germany Predicted Lineup vs Netherlands in Mammoth Clash

How Germany Have Lined-up Recently

Against Hungary on September 7, the Germans lined up in their trusted 4-2-3-1 formation, the same setup that served them well at Euro 2024.

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen took his place in goal and had a back four in front of him consisting of Joshua Kimmich, Jonathan Tah, Nico Schlotterbeck and David Raum. Pascal Groß and Robert Andrich commanded the midfield while Florian Wirtz, Kai Havertz, Jamal Musiala and Niclas Fullkrug made up the attack.

Germany Recent Form and Tactics

Julian Nagelsmann’s men showed no mercy in front of their former Euro 2024 group stage opponents, winning 5-0, dispelling any rumours that their summer tournament quarter-final exit is still playing on their minds. Fullkrug scored the only goal of the first period on 27 minutes, before second-half strikes from Musiala, Wirtz, Aleksandar Pavlovic and Havertz rounded off a ruthless display from Die Mannschaft, as they outshot their opponents 23-6 in the process.

Despite beginning their new era without midfield conductor Toni Kroos, their tactics and style of play weren’t too dissimilar to that of when the Real Madrid icon was the key to their engine room. Whilst Hungary didn’t give them too much to worry about, they seemed to prove that even in the absence of Kroos, they are still very much a force to be reckoned with. The game against the Netherlands should be a great test of what they truly are about without their former World Cup winner.

Germany Injuries to Consider

At the time of writing, Nagelsmann once again has no injuries to contend with, giving him a fully fit squad to select from for the match against the Dutch.
