How Spain Have Lined Up Recently

Since the knockout phase began the starting eleven has been mostly settled. The only changes have been forced due to injuries or suspensions but there’s a good idea of what the first-choice lineup is. Unai Simon is the go-to goalkeeper. The defence of Dani Carvajal, Robin Le Normand, Aymeric Laporte, and Marc Cucurella is the strongest unit.

Nacho and Jesus Navas have come in as rotational options when needed but are likely returning to the bench with Carvajal and Le Normand available again. The trio of Rodri, Pedri, and Fabian Ruiz was the preferred option in midfield. An injury to Pedri has seen him miss out and get replaced by Dani Olmo.

The attacking trio has been set and remains unlikely to change with Alvaro Morata providing a veteran edge while young Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams hold things down on the wing.

Spain Recent Form and Tactics

Spain have got through the tournament using a 4-3-3 setup. They tweaked it to a modified version of a 4-2-3-1 against France, likely to get the best out of Olmo. They are probably going to keep the hybrid system for this clash after the RB Leipzig man repaid this adjustment with a goal.

It has been a strong run for the side, they made it through the group stage without conceding and have not had issues finding the back of the net themselves. They put two past both France and Germany after beating Georgia by four strikes to one.

Spain Injuries to Consider

Manager Luis de la Fuente has had a largely untroubled tournament with the worst of it coming in the semi-final when he was without Pedri, Carvajal, and Le Normand. The latter duo were suspended. Barcelona’s Pedri will miss this final due to injury and will be the only absentee.
