Can Chelsea Actually Sell Gallagher?
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Spurs are “circling” for the English midfielder and are well aware of his contract situation, with his current deal set to expire in 2025. He also adds that “Ange Postecoglou is a big fan” of the hard-working midfield player and would like him in his squad.

Romano further claims that there is no agreement between Gallagher and Chelsea over a new contract and that in the extreme situation that doesn’t change, then the Blues could be open to selling the midfielder if an “important proposal” comes in for him in January. Ben Jacobs has added some more details, reporting that there’s a price tag in the region of £50 million for the player.
The journalist reiterates that Mauricio Pochettino is happy with Gallagher’s performances and that it’s now upon the Englishman as well as the club to decide what they want to do with his future. Romano adds that Tottenham keep following his situation because of how much their manager admires the midfielder’s qualities.

Are Tottenham Planning On Signing Anyone Else?
Even though they keep seemingly looking at the situation around the Chelsea midfielder, Spurs are looking to strengthen other areas of their squad too. The Lilywhites are reportedly keen on signing a new centre-back in the winter transfer window and have even been linked with OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo over a possible deal.
They are likely to push for a new centre-back signing rather than looking to improve the other areas of the squad. However, the possible addition of Gallagher can be valuable for Postecoglou’s side because of his qualities and hard-working nature.

The Englishman was hailed as “fantastic” last year and has been one of Chelsea’s best players so far this season, picking up four assists in 16 Premier League games for them. Even though Spurs seem to be interested in him, it remains to be seen whether they can actually pull off the crazy heist of a rival team’s player in 2024.
