Watch: Beginner’s guide to the WSL
How Chelsea Women Have Lined Up Recently
Before the international break the games were coming thick and fast for the team which caused some rotation in the squad, along with injuries. Ann-Katrin Berger and Zecira Musovic have both operated in goals in recent weeks. The defense has been subject to a bit of change with Jess Carter, the now-injured Millie Bright, Kadeisha Buchanan, Maren Mjelde, Niamh Charles, Ashley Lawrence, and Ève Périsset all starting in the back line in some manner.

The midfield spots have gone to a few pairings with Erin Cuthbert, Sophie Ingle, and Sjoeke Nüsken all getting starts in the middle of the park. The attacking foursome has been spearheaded by Sam Kerr despite her missing the international break to continue recovery from an injury.
Behind the Australian, Aggie Beever-Jones, Jessie Fleming, Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Fran Kirby, and Lauren James have all featured in starting roles.
Chelsea Women Recent Form and Tactics
Emma Hayes has generally set up in a 4-2-3-1 with the occasional foray into more of a 3-4-3 or an attacking 4-1-4-1. The base set up appears to be the 4-2-3-1 with the other formations only being used for specific reasons, like the three at the back being the most comfortable system for Buchanan.

As mentioned, the team are undefeated all season with only two draws marking their otherwise perfect record. They have been playing some free-flowing attacking football with the goals flying in. With 25 strikes in the past 6 outings, it appears the Blues are a huge offensive threat to any opposition.
Chelsea Women Injuries to Consider
In her pre-match conference, Hayes confirmed that two players were fit to return for this match while some others remain on the sidelines. Guro Reiten and Melanie Leupolz are both eligible for selection although you’d expect both to be eased back in and appear on the bench. Millie Bright and Jelena Čanković were confirmed absent while long-term absentee Cat Macario was not mentioned.
Chelsea Women Predicted Lineup vs Arsenal Women
We have seen the manager be cautious about playing Canadian internationals after an international break due to the travel and its impacts on the body. It is likely we see that continue with Fleming, Buchanan, Lawrence, and USA international Mia Fishel likely not starting.
