Two of Endland’s premier clubs meet once again after their insane series in the spring which saw them collide four times across three competitions. Sonia Bompastor is undefeated domestically, something that new manager Andree Jeglertz will be hoping to end in this major day one fixture.

Hannah Hampton starts in goal with a back line of Nathalie Bjorn, Ellie Carpenter, Millie Bright, and Niamh Charles. Erin Cuthbert starts with Keira Walsh and Wieke Kaptein in midfield. Aggie Beever-Jones, Maika Hamano, and Sandy Baltimore round out the eleven.

Notable Changes

It will be interesting to see if this is a 4-3-3 or a 5-3-2, Baltimore and Charles are both adaptable and can play in multiple positions, it’s possible Charles will move next to Bright as the third CB allowing Baltimore and Carpenter to play as wing-backs. Naomi Girma is absent from the squad despite playing in the most recent friendly. Johanna Rytting Kaneryd is also dropped but is on the bench.

Ayaka Yamashita starts in goal with a back line of Jade Rose, Alex Greenwood, Kerstin Casparij, and Grace Prior. Sydney Lohmann, Yu Hasegawa, Lily Muprhy, Lauren Hemp, Vivienne Miedema, and Bunny Shaw eound out the starters.

Notable Changes

Quite a few changes from the squad used in their last friendly against Manchester United. Prior and Rose impressed enough to keep their spots, as did Casparij and Thomas
