He only made 24 appearances for the Lilywhites last season – including starting just eight Premier League games. The 27-year-old was constantly criticised for being error-prone and even booed off by the Tottenham faithful in their 3-2 loss to Bournemouth at home. Spurs decided to fix their issues at centre-back by bringing in defender Micky Van de Ven to be Cristian Romero’s partner, seemingly sealing Sanchez’s fate at the club. He will be undertaking a new chapter at Galatasaray and will hope to reignite his career in Turkey after departing Spurs.
