Liverpool fans are sweating on the state of their proposed move for Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch after the Bavarians’ proposed move for Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha reportedly fell through. According to a further update from Romano, Gravenberch considers the transfer done and agreed.

Are Liverpool at Risk of Losing Gravenberch?
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that his “sources confirm” that the Reds move for the young midfield will and should be fine despite the apparent collapse of Palhinha’s possible transfer to the Bundesliga side.

He states that Liverpool are not sweating over the deal because they believe all the necessary transfer documents have been signed, with an agreement struck between the two clubs.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had been looking for midfielders since Fabinho and Jordan Henderson left for Saudi Arabia earlier this summer. They signed one in Wataru Endo to add more depth in the defensive midfield area – and now look to be closing in on the signing of Gravenberch. Liverpool are said to be paying a fee of around £34.2 million for the 21-year-old midfielder, who struggled to adapt at the German club after only joining them last year.
What Are Liverpool Getting in Gravenberch?
Liverpool have changed the look of their midfield line from last season by offloading personnel and signing some ‘upgrades’ in return. After the arrival of Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, the Reds appear to be adding more young blood to their midfield.

The 21-year-old midfielder is a graduate of Ajax’s esteemed youth academy and earned his reputation at the Dutch club. He is a mobile midfielder who thrives in the no.8 role, where he’ll probably play in Klopp’s 4-3-3 formation after his proposed arrival at Anfield. Gravenberch made 34 appearances for Bayern in his one year at the club but had a more successful spell at Ajax, making 103 appearances for them in which he scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists in all competitions.
