Marco Verratti Could Soon Be an Al-Ahli Player
Player and Club Agreement Reached
According to the L’Equipe article, Al-Ahli and Verratti have already reached terms for a move. PSG have not yet come to an agreement with the Saudi club, but negotiations are continuing between the two sides.

The report also linked German champions Bayern Munich to the 2020 European Champion. Al-Ahli, however, appears to be in the pole position to land the longtime Parisian star.
Previous Al-Hilal Interest
Verratti had appeared to agree on a move to Riyadh, as Al-Hilal circled the Italian and his situation in Paris. Having previously reportedly made an attempt to sign the formerly disenfranchised Kylian Mbappe from PSG, the club officials found potential in capturing another player instead.
The reigning Ligue 1 champions have made it clear that they want a large sum of money for their man of over ten years. If the Saudi clubs competing for him are going to gain his services, they will have to pay a large sum determined by PSG.
Squad Omissions Signal the Move Is on
Having not featured in either of their first two league games, Verratti’s time with his current club seems to be coming to an end. The Football Italia article also noted that French sources have found “that new coach Luis Enrique does not see the Italian as part of his plans.”

A former European champion with Italy, and almost a Champions League winner with PSG, Verratti has had a fruitful career. Whether or not he completes the Saudi move or finds a European alternative, he can revel in the fact that he remains a coveted footballer.
