Romano’s report confirmed that the length of his time under Chelsea ownership will run until 2029, with an option to extend until 2030. The long deal certainly implies that the Blues are willing to give the teenager time to develop into a first-team player.
Package Price Confirmed
The reported fee is in the region of £17 million with add-ons included. Upon his arrival, as also indicated by a report from the Evening Standard, the forward will be loaned to Ligue 1 club Strasbourg to gain experience starting for a team in a top league. Many eyes will be on the Brazilian as he looks to make his case to break into the first team in England.
Other Chelsea Transfers
Chelsea have been busy this transfer window, at the current rate their Brazilian striker will be arriving near the same time that their biggest signing of the season is being secured. Midfielder Moises Caicedo has already received a trademark “Here We Go” from Romano, meaning the deal should be official sometime soon.
This comes after the London side have completed a number of signings this summer including Axel Disasi, Lesley Ogochukwu, Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson. They could soon be adding a new prospect, and some steel to their defensive midfield spot.
