United to Hold Concrete Talks on New Pellistri Deal Ahead of Possible Loan Move
Having joined the Manchester side in 2020, the Uruguayan winger’s current deal at Old Trafford runs until June 2025. But, as per Romano, the Red Devils are thinking about offering him a new contract that will probably aim to keep him at the club beyond that period.

It is also added that United are currently planning to send the 21-year-old winger out on loan next season after seeing him unable to get many minutes under Erik ten Hag over the course of the campaign so far. However, Romano states that no final decision on his contract situation has been taken by either party so far. There will be more concrete talks between the Red Devils and Pellistri’s representatives to plan out his future before anything is decided about a possible contract extension for the winger.
Pellistri Reduced to Bench Role at United
The 21-year-old was reported to be the point of interest from multiple clubs over a possible loan move in January, but Ten Hag opted to keep him in his squad until the end of the campaign. Pellistri spent the second half of the 2020/21 season and the entirety of the 2021/22 season on loan at La Liga side Deportivo Alaves, making 35 appearances for them throughout his stints.

The Uruguayan winger, who was once described as a ‘rascal’ on the pitch for his proactive dribbling style, has gone on to make six appearances for United this season – but all of them have come off the bench. He provided an assist in the Carabao Cup and played a major role to set up Wout Weghorst’s goal in United’s 4-1 win over Real Betis in the Europa League Round of 16 first leg, for which he earned praises from Ten Hag – who called him ‘the example’ for his recent impressive performances.
