Crystal Palace have signed Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga on loan until the end of the season, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed.
Romano reported that: “Albert Sambi Lokonga to Crystal Palace is done and sealed after medical done in the afternoon.” Before giving the move his all-important “here we go”.

Unhappy at Arsenal
It is no secret that Lokonga has been unhappy with the amount of playing time he has been afforded at Arsenal, regularly making his frustration known to the public.
On one hand, that is a positive thing as it shows he has a desire to play regular football and be the best that he can be. However, on the other hand, it is perhaps slightly unjustified given his relatively poor performances when he has been given opportunities and shows signs of an inflated ego as a result.

Having confidence is not an issue, in fact, it’s vital, however, he must learn to do his talking on the pitch.
A Chance for Revival
Patrick Vieira has given him an opportunity to do just that. Lokonga now has a chance to prove that he deserves regular minutes at a club which is almost guaranteed to have Champions League football next season. Arteta will be watching, and the Belgian must now deliver.
He definitely has the ability to be a success at Palace, with former manager Vincent Kompany previously describing him as the “new Yaya Toure”. He has the raw talents needed to thrive in the Premier League, and if he can apply himself correctly, could revive his Arsenal career on the back of a potentially successful loan spell.

After all, he will be playing under arguably one of the best midfielders the Premier League has ever seen in the form of Vieira, who will likely have plenty of wisdom to pass on to the 23-year-old.
