All About the Experienced Midfielder
There has been a huge outpouring of emotional support for what Jordan Nobbs has achieved in the famous red and white. Arsenal took to social media to celebrate Nobbs’ career at the Gunners. And in return, Nobbs wrote a touching farewell letter.
Nobbs first made the move to Islington over a decade ago when she was just a teenager. Now, at 30 years old, she has nearly 300 appearances to her name. Prior to being an Arsenal player, she played closer to home with Sunderland for a few years. Throughout her time with the Black Cats she amassed caps at various youth levels with England.
270 appearances. 81 goals. 12 titles.
A legacy that will live on forever at Arsenal.

Her impressive performances at that stage in her career set the tricky midfielder on her way. Jordan Nobbs has 69 England caps to her name and whilst she may have missed out on the European Championships glory of last summer, she was a part of the Sarina Wiegman led-side who prevailed in the Arnold Clark Cup.
To win 2010 FA Young Player of the Year and then going on to become 2016 Player and 2017 Players’ Player of the Year is supremely impressive. Spanning her career in red, Nobbs won the league title three times as well as adding nine cups to her trophy cabinet.

Jordan Nobbs Joins Aston Villa: But Where Will Nobbs Fit in Under Carla Ward?
Experience both on and off of the field is the bottom line regarding this new signing for Aston Villa. Jordan Nobbs’ career, particularly in recent years, has been ravaged by injuries and so just to see her stay fit would be excellent.
When fit, there aren’t many better players in the country; Nobbs’ reading of the game and ability to control it is a sight to behold. Carla Ward is a great figure to further utilize this too. The Villa manager is building something strong in Birmingham.

The star name for the Villains has to be fellow Lioness Rachel Daly. Unlike Nobbs, Daly was fortunate enough to be included in the Euros squad. A very versatile player, NWSL fans and WSL fans alike will have seen the 31-year-old play anywhere and everywhere.
Currently, Daly is operating as a striker to great effect. In the league, she is tied with Manchester City’s Khadija Shaw at the top of the scoring charts with eight, ahead of the likes of Fran Kirby and Sam Kerr. With Jordan Nobbs playing off Daly plus Manchester United loanee Kirsty Hanson and French international Kenza Dali, Villa are building a strong side capable of taking on all-comers in the WSL.
