Schalke Winger Could Join Former Premier League Winners on Loan

This has been one of the worse transfer windows in recent memory for those associated with Leicester City. Stars such as Wesley Fofana and James Maddison have attracted a lot of interest whilst there has been no action on the other end. However, Amine Harit could be about to change this. As per Simon Jones for Mail Sport, the Schalke winger is in talks to join Leicester on loan.

Leicester to Finally Dip Into the Transfer Market

It has been a rough start to the season for Brendan Rodgers’ side both on and off the field. The performances and results aren’t anything to shout about whilst they’re experiencing issues in the transfer market. Kasper Schmeichel departed on a free, joining OGC Nice in France, plus Fofana’s potential sale could generate some much-needed spending money.

There is one new arrival at the King Power in the form of Alex Smithies. The Cardiff City goalkeeper has joined on a free transfer to play second fiddle to Danny Ward. Neither of these men are adequate replacements for Schmeichel, the outgoing Dane.

It was previously said that sales would be needed if Rodgers was to dip into the market. Alongside the aforementioned free transfer, Schalke winger Amine Harit joining on loan would surely work financially, regardless.

The Schalke winger arrived in the Bundesliga from Nantes and so has gone back and forth between the two countries. He is yet to ply his trade on English shores, a move to Leicester being his first chance at that. Schalke, the team from Gelsenkirchen, are now back in the top division following their relegation but Harit, at just 22, remains intent on a move away.
