No Bid for Manchester City Forward From Tottenham Hotspur

Gabriel Jesus

The North London club were closely linked with the Brazilian as they look to bolster their attacking options with a versatile forward this summer.

Gabriel Jesus Not Moving to Tottenham

Focusing On Other Targets

Instead of making a move for Jesus, Tottenham are expected to pursue other targets in the window. Two of the most notable are other Brazilians with Premier League experience. Everton’s Richarlison and Leeds United’s Raphinha are two players closely linked with Tottenham, and a bid for the Everton man could be on the cards very soon.

Tottenham’s transfer window so far has been an effective one, and fans are pleased. They have signed Yves Bissouma for a reported £25 million, plus add-ons, as well as Ivan Perišić and Fraser Forster on free transfers.

They don’t seem to be satisfied with just the three signings, either. Tottenham have been closely linked with highly-rated full-back Djed Spence, who is rumoured to prefer a move to the club this summer. Interest has also been shown in bringing Christian Eriksen back to the club, and signing in-demand defender David Raum.

Winks On His Way Out

Another player that may not be at Tottenham next season is midfielder Harry Winks. A move to Everton for the 26-year-old is increasingly looking likely as Winks searches for regular minutes. Tottenham have added another midfielder in Bissouma this summer and, with Winks only managing nine league starts last season, his opportunities seem to be decreasing.

Winks came through the academy at Tottenham and is a boyhood fan of the club, but he may be willing to move away to rediscover some of the form he found when he broke into the first team under Mauricio Pochettino. Playing under one of the Premier League’s greatest midfielders in Everton manager Frank Lampard may be the perfect chance to do so.
