If you cast your minds back to last summer, Kylian Mbappe looked closer than ever to sealing a move to Real Madrid at one stage. Yet, here we are, in February, with the Frenchman still very much a Paris Saint-Germain player.
As the speculation continues, too, the forward has had his say on the matter, telling Prime Video Sport France: “No, my decision on the future isn’t made. Playing vs Real Madrid in Champions League changes a lot of things. Even if I’m free to do what I want at the moment, I’m not going to go and talk to the opponent or do that kind of thing”
PSG will be incredibly pleased to hear Mbappe speak with such professionalism, with his priorities becoming far more clear. As long as he is playing in the French capital, it looks as though his focus will remain on securing the highest honours in Paris.

Real Madrid to Get a Damming Preview?
There may be no better way to show your potential next club just what they’re getting than by knocking them out of the Champions League. At least, that’s the case for Kylian Mbappe. The Frenchman will not approach with kindness. Instead, he will rightly treat them as a rival in the competition and hope to dispatch them in as ruthless fashion as ever.
Of course, one day, Mbappe could be starring for Los Blancos. But, for now, he remains in Paris. And, under Mauricio Pochettino, he’ll hope to potentially go out with a bang by winning the Champions League – a trophy that has forever alluded the French giants. They have a hard task in front of them in Carlo Ancelotti’s side, but not a task they’re incapable of overcoming.
