Alvaro Morata Makes Final Decision Over Juventus Future

Alvaro Morata

The highly sought-after Alvaro Morata has made a massive decision on Transfer Deadline day as he has decided to see out the rest of the season with Juventus, according to Fabrizio Romano. The massive signing of Dusan Vlahovic raised some doubt over the future of Morata but he has opted to stay put, despite reported interest from Premier League sides Arsenal and Tottenham. Morata aims to play alongside new signing Vlahovic for the remainder of his loan spell with Juventus.

Alvaro Morata Staying With Juventus

In Demand

Strikers are in big demand in this transfer window, as they always are, but Premier League clubs Arsenal and Tottenham were most recently linked with Morata. With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang seemingly on his way out of Arsenal, they are in desperate need of a new goal-getter, while Totenham are looking for help up front with Harry Kane not hitting the heights he has in previous years.

Alvaro Morata is a Goal Getter

While he has never set the world ablaze there is something to be said for Morata’s consistency. Not since the 2013/14 season has he failed to achieve a double-digit goal tally. In his first season on loan at Juventus, he scored 20 goals in a season for the first time since 2016/17 and already has eight goals to his name this season.

Juventus will be glad to have Morata on hand for the rest of the season. His veteran presence can help Dusan Vlahovic make the step up to playing for a team like Juventus and also gives them tinkering room to figure out the best formation to utilise the two players. If Vlahovic continues his goalscoring form then Morata can easily slot in as a rotational player and backup striker, if Valhovic doesn’t then Morata and his consistency will be there to help Juventus see out the season nonetheless.
