As per Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich are close to reaching an agreement with Serge Gnabry over a new deal, which will cement his long-term future at the club. The German has excelled ever since joining the Bavarians, winning several honours during his time, and impressing many. Now, at 26, he has seemingly picked the perfect time to secure his future at one of the best clubs in world football.
So far this season, under new management in Julian Nagelsmann, the former Arsenal winger has once again found his goalscoring touch, netting three in six Bundesliga games, and one in two Champions League games. It speaks volumes about his ability that, despite the forever mounting competition for places, Gnabry manages to remain a permanent fixture in the side.
Bayern Munich Set to Reach Agreement With Serge Gnabry Over New Deal
New Deal Deserved
Earning a new deal is never an easy task in football; earning one at a top club, is all the more harder. Yet, here Serge Gnabry is, with new contract on the table, and pen in hand. He more than deserves a new deal, having helped Bayern to European honours and domestic titles in the last few years.
This season, despite under new management, things look unlikely to change in the Bundesliga. Bayern are still dominating; the best of the rest are still bowing down, and Lewandowski is still scoring for fun. You almost feel sorry for other teams, who even dare to mount a serious title charge. All they really seem to be doing is exposing their hand of talented players for Bayern to eventually snap up.
Yet to lose so far this campaign, Bayern, with one of, if not the best young manager in the world, look destined for another title to add to their always-growing collection.
