The remainder of the summer transfer window could see both Moussa Sissoko and Serge Aurier heading for the Tottenham Hotspur exit door, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that a deal with Watford for Sissoko is possible. Meanwhile, the situation with Aurier is a little more complicated and a solution to Tanguy Ndombele’s desire to leave the club is also hoped to be resolved before the 31 August deadline.

Sissoko and Serge Aurier Heading for Tottenham Exit, Tanguy Ndombele Situation to Be Resolved
Potential Exits No Surprise
Tottenham have been in the headlines during the transfer window mainly for the Harry Kane saga, but with his future now resolved in the immediate future, the club are turning attentions to bringing in new players and moving certain ones on to pastures new.
Watford are said to be keen on signing Sissoko, who has fallen down the pecking order under new Spurs boss Nuno Espírito Santo and his signing would be a direct replacement for Will Hughes, who looks set to join Crystal Palace in the coming days.
Serge Aurier’s future is still unclear, although he made the club aware at the end of the 2020/21 Premier League season that it was time for him to move on. He has been linked with a move back to former club Paris Saint-Germain, managed by former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Lille are also a potential destination for the right-back, but any deal would be dependent on the departure from Lille of their own right-back, 23 year old Zeki Celik, who earlier in the transfer window had been linked with Spurs. With Japhet Tanganga emerging as Santo’s preferred choice at right back and Matt Doherty someone the manager feels he can get the best out of as he did at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Aurier is surplus to requirements and Spurs are keen to offload him.
Ndombele Situation Ongoing
Just two years after becoming Spurs’ record signing, Ndombele has asked to leave the club and had not featured in any of Santo’s first games in charge at the club. Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici is working to find a solution, but the fee of over £65 million that he cost Spurs is unlikely to be met after poor performances and suggestions of attitude issues have blighted his time in North London.
