Manchester United winger Amad Diallo is reportedly expected to leave Old Trafford on loan this summer, with the Red Devils still in the process of identifying which club would be best suited to continue the player’s development.
According to Fabrizio Romano, a number of clubs have displayed an interest in the Ivory Coast international, who joined United from Serie A club Atalanta in January this year after a deal was agreed last October.
Amad Diallo Still Expected to Leave Manchester United on Loan
Jadon Sancho Arrival Limits Playing Time For Diallo
Having made Diallo the first overseas player to sign and register for a Premier League club under post-Brexit rules, Manchester United earmarked the 19-year-old as an exciting prospect for the future at Old Trafford.
In order for that future promise to be fulfilled, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side must choose Diallo’s next move carefully, with a season-long loan away from the club seen as the best option at this time.
The arrival of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund looks to have pushed Diallo down the pecking order in Solskjaer’s squad, with several clubs keen to take advantage of the youngster’s availability this summer.
Crystal Palace Among Interested Clubs
Sheffield United were reported to have made an approach for Diallo earlier in the transfer window as they seek to put a squad together that can take them back to the Premier League.
However, a move away from the top-flight is not thought to be an option Diallo is considering, which rules the Blades out of the interested parties.
Crystal Palace, meanwhile, are among the clubs Diallo could join this season. A move to Selhurst Park would benefit the player by granting him the kind of valuable playing time he would not receive at Old Trafford.
Additionally, joining the Eagles would be of great benefit to the club’s new manager Patrick Vieira, who is without the services of versatile attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze until six months’ time following the serious achilles injury suffered by the 23-year-old in training.
