£13 Million for Jens Cajuste

£13 Million for Jens Cajuste Needed If Newcastle Want to Sign Player

Price Likely to Be Issue an for Newcastle

Rennes have been looking at signing Cajuste to replace Eduardo Camavinga, who is being chased by the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. Swedish paper Expressen now claim that Leeds United are also interested in signing the player, leaving plenty of competition for the likes of Newcastle.

RMC Sport reported that Rennes have already had two bids for the player rejected and talks have stalled, but Newcastle are likely to find the £13 million price tag over their budget. Mike Ashley remains in control of the North East club and still wants to push through the clubs’ sale but would prefer any signings to be on loan or cost the club as little as possible.

Impressive Cajuste

Cajuste has been impressive in Denmark, but there will be an increased leap in quality should he head to the Premier League.

Midtjylland are aware that they are facing a losing battle to keep one of their star players, so much so that they left him out of their Champions League qualifying tie on Tuesday July 20 to avoid him picking up any injury. Despite his value on the pitch, his sale would bring the Danish club much needed finances.

Expressen also confirmed that the four clubs from the Premier League in for Cajuste are Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers along with the aforementioned Newcastle and Brentford.

It will now come down to who is willing to meet the asking price for the 21-year-old Swedish international.
