West Ham United have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Brentford forward Said Benrahma. According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, the £30 million deal, plus add ons, will be completed after the international break with the medical likely to take place on Wednesday.
The transfer will see Said Benraham finally reach the Premier League after missing out on promotion with Brentford at the last hurdle last season.

Before even stepping back onto the pitch of the London Stadium, trouble was brewing within the West Ham ranks as the club decided to sell academy graduate Grady Diangana. Four games in, however, and, with West Ham 10th on six points, all has more or less been forgotten.
Now, Benraham reportedly on his way, David Moyes has the chance to take the Hammers up a level, past the discomforts of the bottom half and into top half security and maybe even Europa League dreamland.
The Algerian should slot straight in, too, should he complete the move, next to the likes of Michail Antonio and the rapidly improving Jarrod Bowen. Perhaps, finally, things are heading in a more permanent positive direction at the London Stadium.

Several eyebrows were raised when we reached October, and Said Benrahama was still a Brentford player. Ollie Watkins had already swapped the Championship for the top flight chance at Aston Villa, so how hadn’t Benrahma been handed the same opportunity as of yet?
The delay, however, has given West Ham the unexpected chance to swoop in and seemingly hand the winger a much-deserved Premier League opportunity. If he reaches anything close to heights reached in the Championship, Benrahama will become a hero amongst the fans in no time should he complete the move.
