Mourinho had a tense relationship with Paul Pogba, and the style of football didn’t always sit well with fans. He still delivered two trophies for the club. Now he is on the trail of trophies with Tottenham Hotspur. A penalty shoot-out win over Chelsea on Tuesday night in the Carabao Cup was quickly followed the 7-2 drubbing of Israeli team Maccabi Haifa in the Europa League.

From the draw against Newcastle United, Jose Mourinho made nine changes to the team that faced Chelsea. Another nine changes followed for the Europa League tie on Thursday. Mourinho has made good use of his squad and has started to build competition for places. Further rotation is likely for the match against Manchester United.
