Álvaro Morata has officially completed a move back Juventus. The Spanish striker joins on an initial one-year loan deal with the option for an extra year, plus the option to buy. The move marks yet another transfer to a top European club for Morata, who has had a previous spell at the club.
With the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo to play alongside, too, Morata should excel once in the famous colours of Juventus.
Morata Completes Juventus Move
Leaving Atletico Madrid Having Made a Mark
For some time, Álvaro Morata failed to find his best form at Atletico Madrid. But, when asked to deliver on the biggest of stages, he did. The Spaniard’s finest moment came at Anfield in the Champions League round of 16 second leg.
It was his goal which proved to be the cherry on top of a classic Atletico Madrid performance as they shocked Liverpool to send them packing. The moment will forever remain an iconic one in his so far dream-like career.
The task will no be to lead Juventus to yet another Serie A title under the new guidance of legendary midfielder turned manager Andre Pirlo.
A Return to Juventus
In the 2014/15 season and the 2015/16 season, Morata was crucial while on loan in Juventus’ success, especially in reaching the 2015 Champions League final. The Spaniard also scored the winning goal in the 2016 Coppa Italia final to cement his place in the fans’ hearts.
Already a hero in Italy, Morata returns ready to take Serie A by storm once more. Perhaps a return to his most clinical form his on the horizon after inconsistent spells at Chelsea and Atletico Madrid.
It has to be said if Morata does return to his best, Juventus will have themselves one of the best strikers in Italy, and perhaps even Europe.
