English Premier League champions Liverpool have announced the signing of Portuguese winger Diogo Jota from Wolverhampton Wanderers in for a reported fee of £35 million.

Two Recent Additions
With three weeks still left to go of the transfer window, there was a flurry of activity at Anfield this week, with manager Jurgen Klopp making two marquee signings to bolster his championship-winning side.
Adding to the signing of Greek left-back Kostas Tsimikas, midfield wizard Thiago Alacantara also joined from Champions League winners Bayern Munich for £25 million.
The under the radar move for Jota comes after Liverpool struggled to agree to terms with Watford for the transfer of Ismaila Sarr due to an extortionate asking price.
Jota is Yet to Feature This Season
Twenty-three-year-old Jota did not feature in Wolves’ 2-0 win against Sheffield United on the opening weekend after being left as an unused substitute.
He was also missing from the Carabao Cup defeat to Stoke City in midweek as Nuno Espirito Santo declined to comment on why the winger was not involved.
Seen as a versatile player, Jota is seen as an excellent back-up option for Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, as a player who can cover all attacking positions.
During his spell at Molineux, Jota notched up 44 goals in 131 games. The Portugal international also made 48 appearances in all competitions last season, contributing 16 goals and six assists.
Moving to Wolves in a separate deal, Liverpool defender Ki-Jana Hoever is set to complete a permanent move for a fee around £10 million-plus add-ons. The 18-year old is seen as a back-up option to cover for the departed right wing-back Matt Doherty, who moved to Spurs, and can also play across the back. Dutch U18 international Hoever has made four appearances for Klopp’s side in cup matches and became the club’s youngest ever player in a 2019 FA Cup match against Wolves.
