Oxford United defender Rob Dickie is a transfer target for Championship side Nottingham Forest, according to reports by the Nottinghamshire Post.

Championship Interest With Forest the Favourites
According to the report, the Championship side are leading the race to sign the 24-year-old. However, the defender has also attracted interest from promotion hopefuls Fulham.
Earlier this season, Middlesbrough and his former club Reading, showed interest in the Oxford man, but now it appears that Sabri Lamouchi’s side are the favourites to land the centre back.
Burnley and Southampton also sent scout’s to the Kassam Stadium to keep an eye on the defender, as did Championship leaders Leeds United.
Dickie at Oxford
Oxford signed Rob Dickie in January 2018. He joined the club just a few weeks prior to the sacking of Pep Clotet and one month before the club was taken over.
It took time for him to settle, but he has come on leaps and bounds since. Having made 49 appearances this season, in which he also surpassed 100 outings for the club, he has been one of the first players on the team sheet for manager Karl Robinson.
The defender was also awarded the clubs Player of the Season, before their League One play-off campaign kicked off at the start of the month.
Rebuild at Oxford
The report suggests that Oxford will be asking for between £2-3 million for the defender. And, having failed to secure promotion from League One, it is likely that the U’s will end up losing a number of key players during the transfer window.
In order to mount another promotion charge, it looks likely that the U’s boss will need to rebuild his squad ahead of next season.
