Jonas Lossl Joins Huddersfield Town on Loan
✅ @JonasLoessl has returned to #htafc, re-joining the Terriers on loan from @Everton!
? Danny Cowley: “From the first moment we spoke, his affinity with the Club and the supporters was obvious”

Lossl’s History with Both Clubs
Lossl joined Everton from Huddersfield in the summer of 2019 on a free transfer. The Denmark international joined the Terriers in 2017 on loan, and Town bought him the following season as they triggered a clause in his contract. He was the first choice there for two seasons, however, as the Terriers went down to the Championship, he agreed a pre-contract with the Toffees.
The goalkeeper has yet to make an appearance for his new club, however, this loan move is an opportunity for him to show that Everton can count on him in less important games.
Opportunity to Show His Worth
He kept just ten clean sheets in the Premier League last season, however, given how poorly his club played that may not be as bad as it seems. The 30-year-old rejoining Huddersfield on loan is a chance for him to prove himself to Everton. He will be hoping that this move will help him show that he is more reliable than they think.
Everton have reason to be doubtful of the Danish keeper. He has kept just 15 clean sheets in over 100 Premier League games. Although he clearly improved in the season before his Everton move, that was not enough to prove to the Everton management that he is good enough to play instead of Jordan Pickford, even in cup competitions. This loan move gives Lossl a chance to show that he can play consistently well in the Championship and that he may be good enough to do it on a bigger stage.
