Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 16 follows closely on the heels of gameweek 15 which still has a couple of games to go. Let’s try and navigate this hectic period the best we can.

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 16 Picks

Goalkeepers

Not too many clear cut goalkeeping options to choose from in this gameweek.  Vicente Guaita could be a decent pick considering their strong defence and the fact that they are taking on the bottom club Watford. Martin Dubravka could also do well at home to Southampton. However, the Saints have picked up some form off late and will be looking for another good result. A case could be made for Mathew Ryan as well as Brighton are quite strong at home.

Defenders

Serge Aurier has become an integral part of Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham side. He has been attacking down the right flank a lot more under the new manager and grabbed an assist against Manchester United on Wednesday night as well. Definitely, he should get more chances to get attacking points at home to Burnley.

Very few matches are there this week with a very strong likelihood of a clean sheet. Jetro Willems could be a reasonable option. John Lundstram could do well also. Brighton might also keep a clean sheet so their defenders can be considered as well.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson should get some joy at Bournemouth but Liverpool just cannot keep clean sheets this season. Also, will Jürgen Klopp decide to rotate either of them?

Midfielders

Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling are both fantastic options this week. Manchester City will want a big win in this derby and it will be very difficult for Manchester United to stop them. Bernardo Silva could also be worth considering.

Sadio Mané had a great game against Everton and continued his stellar form this season. However, the fact that he played the whole game and Mohamed Salah stayed on the bench is quite worrying for the FPL owners of the Senegalese forward. Will Klopp play the Egyptian and Firmino and rest Mané?

Mason Mount ended his barren run of six matches without a goal against Aston Villa on Wednesday night. Facing a struggling Everton side, the young midfielder could fancy his chances to get himself on the scoresheet again.

The transformation of Dele Alli under Jose Mourinho has been just unbelievable. He was having a terrible season but in recent weeks he just cannot stop scoring. Can he continue this form against Burnley? Son Heung-min should also be considered.

Wilfried Zaha and James Maddison also could do well this week.

Strikers

Jamie Vardy has now scored in seven matches on the bounce. Can he continue that streak at Villa Park? Don’t think it will be an easy game for the foxes.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could do well at leaky West Ham United. The Hammers have gone back to their woeful selves after that shock win at Chelsea with a 2-0 defeat at Wolves on Wednesday.

Tammy Abraham returned after a short injury layoff to score and assist against Aston Villa. However, he went off limping in that game as well. One needs to watch out for team news. If fit, Tammy should do well against Everton.

Danny Ings, Gabriel Jesus and Harry Kane are all decent options this week as well. Kane, in particular, needs to start scoring again for Tottenham.
