Tottenham Hotspur will be given a second chance to sign Juventus star Paulo Dybala when the transfer window reopens in January. According to the Daily Star, Spurs will be able to complete the signing of the highly-rated ace in the new year.

Paulo Dybala Set To Make January Move To Spurs

Second Chance

Mauricio Pochettino will be given the chance to finally complete the signing of Paulo Dybala, 23, when the window reopens.

The £65 million-rated Juventus star was close to completing a move to North London this summer; the deal collapsed but Pochettino remains an admirer of the Argentinian.

Dybala was set on joining Paris Saint Germain earlier this year but salary and image rights complications set up hurdles.

With that move to France falling through, despite a late attempt by PSG to take him on loan, Spurs seems the likely destination this time around.

The Argentine still has three years left on his current contract; he is yet to start for the European giants this season.

According to the Daily Star, Juventus need to acquire funds after mass-spending this summer; as a result, Dybala is the most likely asset to depart Italy.

The young forward has 23 caps for his country and, since joining from Palermo in 2015, Dybala has scored ten goals for last term’s Italian champions.

Dybala’s wage demands led to Manchester United pulling out of negotiations; the Red Devils are unlikely to reignite any interest in the 23-year-old.

Potential For Swap Deal

In an attempt to bring Dybala to North London, Spurs could offer Christian Eriksen to Juventus.

Inter Milan are among a number clubs interested in the Dane after a Real Madrid move fell through; however, with Eriksen out of contract in the summer, Spurs will need to make a decision over the 27-year-old with Pochettino facing the real risk of losing the forward for free.
