Manager Daniel Farke and Norwich City face a tough season back in the Premier League. With a vocal and passionate support, they will hope that they have enough to avoid dropping straight back down to the Championship.
Tough Season Ahead for Norwich City and Daniel Farke
Can Daniel Farke Manage the Unexpected?
Whilst Aston Villa have splashed nearly £100 million on new players to boost their chances in the coming Premier League season, Norwich City are in a different world entirely. Having won the Championship last season with goals galore, at both ends, the club simply don’t have the financial muscle of Villa.
Norwich have brought in just five players in the summer transfer window and all for a cost of less than £1 million.
“I’m pretty realistic,” Daniel Farke told Sky Sports News.
“Of course we would like to add some quality because when you are able to spend money and add some quality, you have a bigger chance to stay in this league and be successful but we know we have to compete with our tools and that’s what we are trying to do.”
Keeping Norwich in the Premier League is going to take a magnificent effort from Farke and his players.
‘Let’s Be Avin’ You!’ Crowd to Play Pivotal Role
The fans at Carrow Road will be pivotal to making home games the place where they can collect vital points. A tight ground and rarely an empty seat in sight, the fans will be just as important as the players on the pitch. Hopefully without the need for Delia Smith to encourage them, of course!
Predictions
Safety can be the only objective for Norwich City this season. With all due respect to the club, Aston Villa and Sheffield United are better placed to manage more than one season at the top. A good cup run may help confidence and if the crowd truly do their part, maybe they can achieve the truly unexpected.
Predicted Finish – 20th (Relegated)
