Oxford United have been linked with Charlton Athletic winger Tariqe Fosu by the South London Press.
The 23-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the month, worked with Karl Robinson during the U’s boss’ time in charge at The Valley.

Potentially the Third Signing
If Robinson manages to sign Fosu, he would be the third summer signing. Oxford have already seen Kevin Berkoe and Sam Allardyce come through the doors at the Kassam Stadium this summer.
Robinson also mentioned after the season ended that he wanted to make signings early in this window, and this is another positive intention.
Despite Fosu being offered a new deal by the London club, it is unlikely he’d feature for the play-off winners following their promotion to the Championship.
The likely reason for being offered a new deal is that they could make money on a sale of the 23-year-old.
The winger scored twice and made four assists in 27 league appearances for the Addicks as they won promotion.
However, the South London Press are also reporting the winger is being looked at by Rotherham United and Lincoln City. Following two successful seasons with the London club, its likely he’ll attract interest.
Reunited With Robinson at Oxford?
Karl Robinson is keen to bring players he has previously worked with back. Last season, this worked with great success with the arrival of Ahmed Kashi. The loanee from Troyes made eleven solid appearances for Oxford.
It was Robinson that brought Fosu to the Valley two years ago. The winger’s best run came under Robinson in his first season at Charlton. That included a nine-goal haul, one of which against Oxford in a 1-1 draw at the Kassam Stadium in October 2017.
Looking Ahead to Next Season
With two signings already, Oxford were also boosted with the news that Rob Hall has penned a new deal. Robinson is still awaiting a decision from defender Curtis Nelson, but it’s been a bright start to the summer.
