Portugal Hopes for 2026 World Cup

Paris Saint-Germain ace Vitinha recently spoke to FIFA about Portugal’s chances this summer with their blend of youth and experience:

“I think it’s very positive,” he told FIFA. “Having different generations in the same squad is really important. We have experience, youth, quality and determination. When you combine all those ingredients, it can only lead to something very good.”

When asked what he hopes the world sees when they watch Portugal at the 2026 World Cup, Vitinha said:

“A lot of quality. I think people recognise that immediately because it’s part of who we are. But above all, I want them to see hard work and determination. Quality comes naturally to us.
